With the economy and job situation looking increasingly grim in the US and around the world, it’s nice to see some employers are looking to increase their workforce.
President Obama’s economic stimulus bill is aimed at creating half a million “green jobs” over the next few years. AVA Solar, based in Fort Collins, Colorado, are among the green energy industry companies looking to expand their workforce according to this report on CNN. They are hoping to create up to 2,000 new jobs in their manufacturing plant plus added jobs for their suppliers.
As AVA CEO Pascal Noronha says “Well, to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, there is only renewable energy. And there are two forms that are promising — one is wind and the other is solar. And solar, you’ve got the sun’s resources all over the world.”
